Award-winning Australian electronic duo Hermitude bring their genre-bending live show to Aotearoa this July in support of their acclaimed new album EIGHT.
Australian electronic duo Hermitude have spent more than a decade shaping the future of electronic and hip hop music, earning acclaim for their boundary-pushing sound, global collaborations and explosive live performances. Consisting of Gusto and Dubs from the Blue Mountains west of Sydney, the pair have continually evolved their craft, blending hip hop roots with expansive electronic production that has resonated across headphones, dancefloors and festival stages worldwide. Their new record is inspired by all things uptempo, with a mix of techno, drum & bass and UK garage defining their new sound.
Award-winning multi-instrumentalists, Hermitude broke through internationally with their 2012 album HyperParadise, which won the Australian Music Prize, while the Flume remix of the title track amassed more than 200 million streams. Their follow-up album Dark Night Sweet Light debuted at #1 on the ARIA Charts and went Gold in New Zealand, with single The Buzz becoming a global hit and earning platinum success. Across releases including Pollyanarchy and latest album EIGHT, the duo have continued to push into new sonic territory while maintaining the experimental edge that has defined their career.
The collaborative spirit of Hermitude extends throughout their catalogue, having worked with artists including Kimbra, Flume, Bibi Bourelly and BJ The Chicago Kid, while also remixing tracks for acts such as ODESZA and Alison Wonderland.
With a globally celebrated catalogue and forward-thinking club sound, Hermitude’s return promises an electrifying live experience this July.
