Wellington classic rock cover favourites celebrate 10 years of anthems with a massive free anniversary gig at San Fran.

To celebrate a decade of tearing up the local music scene, Wellington’s premier classic rock covers band are throwing the ultimate birthday bash. Money For Old Rope are marking their 10th Anniversary by doing what they do best — delivering a high-energy, no-holds-barred night of classic rock hits, completely free of charge.

Taking over Wellington's iconic San Fran on Sunday 8th November, this special milestone show promises to be an absolute night for the ages. Entry is 100% free, giving back to the local fans, friends, and rock devotees who have supported the band's journey over the last ten years.

Formed a decade ago, Money For Old Rope have become a staple of the lower north island's live music circuit. Known for their electrifying stage presence and an unrelenting setlist of the greatest rock anthems ever written, the band has spent ten years filling dance floors, shaking pub rafters, and cementing their reputation as the region's go-to classic rock covers experience.

"When we first put the band together ten years ago, we just wanted to play the loud, timeless classic rock music we loved," says the band. "To still be doing it a decade later, seeing the same incredible energy from our audience week after week is something pretty special.
