Pitch Ya Pall

Pitch Ya Pall

Events

Hosted by the fabulous Kita Mean, winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under, this hilarious event sees ten friends give 4-minute presentations on why you should date their bestie. Imagine PowerPoint meets talent show meets dating app… but live, loud, and waaaaaay more fun.

How It Works

  • If you want to Pitch Ya Pal: Submit a short, creative pitch deck. If selected, you’ll present it live on stage to a crowd of (mostly) singles.
  • Come Watch the Magic: Whether you're pitching or just along for the ride, expect a night full of laughs and potential right swipes in real life.
  • See Someone You Fancy? Scan the QR on your table and submit an online dating form. Here’s the twist, it goes to their bestie to decide if you'd be a good match.
  • After the Pitches: It might only be 8:30, but we’re still calling it an after party. The DJ takes over, the lights shift, and now’s your moment to move, mingle, and see what happens next.

Presentation Inspiration & Guidelines

You’ve got up to 4 minutes to win hearts (on behalf of your friend, of course). Think of this as their dating profile but live, loud, and way more fun.

Time Limit: 4 minutes MAX

Short, punchy, and packed with personality. Keep it tight!

Presentation Style: Anything Goes

Most people go for a few PowerPoint slides, some great anecdotes, and maybe a couple of jokes. But honestly? You can do whatever you want, as long as it’s fun, mostly positive (this isn’t a humiliation ritual) and puts your pal in the spotlight.

Here are some ideas to get your wheels turning:

  • A dramatic reading of their Hinge profile
  • Baby photos + grandma testimonials = iconic
  • Interpretive dance? Bold move. We love it
  • A fake documentary trailer? We’re obsessed already

What to Include

  • Their name, age, pronouns, and sexual orientation (with their consent)
  • Key facts, quirky traits, fun memories, personal achievements
  • Why they’re a total catch, make the crowd root for them!
  • End with a final slide that includes a great pic of your pal
