Born in Ōtautahi, Yurt Party have spent the past few years riling up dancefloors around Aotearoa, playing backyards, clubs and festivals including Electric Avenue, CubaDupa, Twisted Frequency, Shipwrecked and Woodford Folk Festival (Aus).

Their high-energy instrumental music takes inspiration from Balkan, Latin and Dub. The tunes are made for dancing, leaving you with a smile on your face and sore legs in the morning!

2026 kicked off with their Australian debut at Woodford Folk Festival, where they were tagged as one of the festival's surprise favourites. They also won Best Band with a Fiddler at the Golden Fiddle Awards in Tamworth.

Now they're back home with new music recorded at The Surgery in Wellington, and taking the new tunes around the motu.

ENTRY INFO

  • We'd prefer it if you leave your bags at home, but if you do need to bring one, please keep it small. Bags will be subject to a quick inspection before you enter.
  • We are a cashless venue, so EFTPOS facilities and PayWave are available.
  • Remember to bring your photo ID (a valid NZ driver's license, passport or Kiwi Access Card). 
  • Minors can attend only with a legal guardian.
